about

The first deepspace album released in 2007. This one bagged a bunch of awards, including Best New Talent and was featured in the top 5 album awards on a number of ambient sites, including Electroambient Space and the now defunct Ambient Music Guide. But don't let that put you off. :)

Serene, hypnotic but at times dark, this album spans many ambient sub genres while maintaining a stylistic cohesiveness that began the deepspace sound.

From the dark opening, the album places you in a deserted spaceship after a cataclysmic event with the haunting sounds of distant muzak echoing through empty corridors. Leaving the Hub is inspired by the Science Fiction classic The Raft by Mark Baxter. Map of Pleiades dreams of a journey into distant space, Silent Running style.

Desert Ambient, Space ambient, Post-rock touches, it's all here.
